Project Overview
Cheshire Ground Control was appointed to deliver a full groundworks package for a large residential extension. The project required careful planning, structural accuracy, and a high-quality finish to support the client’s new living space and surrounding landscaping.
Scope of Works
Our involvement covered all aspects of groundworks and external works, providing the client with a complete, turnkey solution:
- Full site clearance and preparation
- Excavation and installation of structural footings
- Installation of block and beam flooring
- Pouring of reinforced concrete floor slab
- Complete new drainage and utility installations
- Construction of retaining walls to manage levels and improve site stability
- External works including turfing and York stone flagging
Groundworks & Construction
The project began with a full site clearance to prepare the area for construction. Following this, we excavated and installed the footings in line with structural and building regulation requirements.
A block and beam flooring system was then installed, providing a strong and reliable base before pouring the concrete sub-base and final concrete floor. This ensured a durable foundation for the extension and long-term structural integrity.
Landscaping & External Finishes
To complete the project, we delivered a high-quality landscaping package. This included approximately 650 square metres of new turf and a professionally laid York stone flagging area to the rear of the property, creating a functional and visually appealing outdoor space
