Project Overview
Cheshire Ground Control was contracted to deliver a full groundworks, services, and landscaping package for three detached residential properties in Lyme Green, Macclesfield. The project required careful coordination of underground utilities, drainage infrastructure, structural retaining works, and high-quality external finishes across all plots.

The Challenge
Our team provided a complete, end-to-end solution, ensuring each phase of work was completed efficiently and in the correct sequence:

• Installation of all underground services, including gas, water, and electric to each dwelling
• Construction of a dual drainage system, separating foul water and surface water in line with current regulations
• Installation of retaining walls to manage changes in site levels and ensure long-term ground stability
• Formation of parking areas serving all three properties
• Excavation and installation of concrete footings for a summer house
• Final landscaping and external works, including:
  • 300m² of permeable block paving for driveways
  • 350m² of high-quality turf across private gardens
  • 250m² of Indian stone paving for patios and pathways

Key Challenges

• Coordinating multiple utility services across three plots without disruption
• Managing level changes while maintaining access and safety on site
• Delivering a high-spec finish across all properties within a controlled programme

Outcome
